S outh Korea's national-team players are carrying a wave of club silverware into the 2026 World Cup. Four members of Hong Myung-bo's squad — Kim Min-jae, Yang Hyun-jun, Lee Kang-in and Seol Young-woo — have completed domestic doubles with their clubs in the final week before the tournament. The Taegeuk Warriors are in pre-camp at Salt Lake City and open Group A against Czechia on June 12.

Kim Min-jae: Bayern double

Bayern Munich beat Stuttgart 3-0 in the 2025-26 DFB-Pokal final at Berlin's Olympiastadion on Saturday, claiming the German cup for the first time since the 2019-20 season and pushing the club's all-time DFB-Pokal record to 21 titles. Combined with the Bundesliga title secured earlier in the season, Bayern have a 2025-26 domestic double. Kim Min-jae was named to the bench and did not enter the match, but the centre-back lifts his first career double regardless.

Yang Hyun-jun: Celtic double

Celtic beat Dunfermline Athletic 3-1 in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park on the same day. The win takes Celtic's all-time Scottish Cup record to 43 and completes a Scottish Premiership + Scottish Cup double for 2025-26. Yang Hyun-jun started and played 75 minutes. The winger now has six trophies since joining Celtic in July 2023: three league titles, two Scottish Cups, one League Cup.

Lee Kang-in: PSG sweeper

Lee Kang-in arrives at the World Cup in the most decorated form of his career. PSG have already lifted the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Intercontinental Cup, Trophée des Champions and Ligue 1 this season. The Champions League final against Arsenal on May 31 puts one more piece of European silverware within reach before he flies out for Hong's camp.

Seol Young-woo: Zvezda double

Seol Young-woo closes his season with a Serbian Super Liga and Serbian Cup double at Crvena Zvezda. The wing-back, a regular on the right flank for Korea since 2024, joins his three teammates as the second member of the squad to complete a 2025-26 league + cup double.

Salt Lake City camp + two friendlies

Hong Myung-bo's squad is currently in pre-camp at Salt Lake City. South Korea face Trinidad and Tobago on May 31 and El Salvador on June 4, both at 10:00 local time at BYU South Field. The squad then relocates to Mexico for the tournament base.

Group A schedule

Korea open against Czechia on June 12, face co-hosts Mexico on June 19 (both at Estadio Akron in Guadalajara), and close the group against South Africa on June 25 at Estadio BBVA in Monterrey. Mexico are the seeded host of the group.
